CTES bags contest tilts, awards
Camp Tinio Elementary School (CTES) pupils proved the school’s supremacy as they brought home various contest awards in the first two quarters this school year, beating 22 schools in District IV and other schools in the Division of Cabanatuan.
“Our pupils are no doubt gifted in various intellectual dimensions. However, their intelligence are leveled up with the aid of their teacher-coaches who also deserved due commendation. With their joint efforts, it only proves that our school is excellent,” Mrs. Marcelina Arenas, CTES principal commented.
STEP champ
Among the triumphant pupils is Jinky Diane Domingo who qualified in the regional Student Technology and Entrepreneur of the Philippines (STEP) after producing the best tie and die craft in the district and division level held in September, sweeping all participating schools in Cabanatuan.
Domingo will demonstrate his skill as she represents Cabanatuan City Division in the regional level to be held in Baler, Aurora in November.
Topping Press Con
With five gold medals, four silver medals, and three bronze medals, The Beacon staffers retained its possession as District IV Press Conference champion held last September 10.
The awarded The Beacon staffers are Jake Christian Decena, 1st place both in News and Sports Writing English; Kimberly Sablan, 2nd place in News Writing Filipino; Lovelyn Rivera, 1st place in Feature Writing Filipino and 2nd place in Editorial Writing Filipino; Alpha Shayne Aguba, 4th place both in Editorial Writing and Copyreading and Headline Writing Filipino; Kingsly Madrid, 2nd place in Sports Writing English; Ira Nicole Manuel, 2nd place in Copyreading and Headline Writing English and Editorial Writing Filipino; Pamela Navarro, 1st place in Sports Writing Filipino; Joana Carla Estuesta, 1st place in Editorial Writing English; Mary Pauline Peralta, 3rd place in Photojournalism English; Chaira Antipolo, 3rd place in Photojournalism Filipino; and Gerald Remaneses 3rd place in Editorial Cartooning Filipino.
“I was very pressured because The Beacon is consistent champion in the district and I was afraid I might not level what The Beacon former adviser did. Gladly, we made it,” said Mr. Allan David Valdez, The Beacon’s new adviser.
The Beacon beat 16 schools in the district four.
Science Wizards
Science wizards like Ira Nicole Manuel of VI SPED who topped the Science Quiz Bee, perfecting the 50-item test during the District Science Fare last September brought another pride to CTES.
