Pupils act on ‘quake drill siren

Walking duck-walk with their hands covering their heads, Camp Tinio Elementary School (CTES) pupils responded to a minute siren that served as an actual conduct of earthquake drill last July 14.

As an annual activity I line with the adherence of the National Disaster Awareness Month, CTES get used to it that leads to their familiarity of the safe spots around the campus.
Mrs. Josefina Balagtas, school preparedness head, said that the pupils will definitely be safe whenever a calamity like earthquake arises for they know what they should do.

“The parents will also be assured that when an earthquake strikes while their children are in school, the kids will be safe,” added Balagtas.
